Christopher Jeffery Obituary
CHRISTOPHER ALLEN JEFFERY, 43, of Clendenin, WV passed away on August 23, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Chris was born on November 3, 1981 in Charleston, WV, the son of Louie and Loretta Jeffery. He graduated from Riverside High School and attended West Virginia University Institute of Technology earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Chris served as the dayshift charge nurse on 4 West at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division for the duration of his nursing career. He was an exemplary nurse and distinguished leader earning the CAMC Nurse Excellence Award in 2019. Chris was well known for his playful and humorous personality. He was an avid Star Wars fan and devoted father who spent his free time watching his children play hockey.
Christopher is survived by his children, and greatest accomplishments, Peyton & Vayda Jeffery and their mother Kelly Jeffery of Mount Carbon, WV. His parents, Louie & Loretta Jeffery of Clendenin, WV. Sister, Candace "Grace" Jones (Justin) of Clendenin, WV. Brother, Louie "Allen" Jeffery (Madonna) of Cabin Creek, WV. Aunt, Louella Ellis (Wayne) of Lexington, NC. He was loved and will be deeply missed by many dear nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A visitation with family and friends will be held 6 - 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Hafer Funeral Home in Elkview, WV. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the Minister Michael Circle officiating.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the extensive medical team that has provided exemplary care over the years, with special acknowledgement to Charleston Area Medical Center Family Medicine (Dr. Mary Maurer & Dr. Courtney Beasley), Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center (Dr. Valerie Lee, Dr. Nilofer Azad, Racheal Klien, NP), Johns Hopkins Surgical Oncology (Dr. Chady Atallah), Duke Cancer Center Oncology (Dr. John Strickler, Evan Dropkin, PA), Duke Cancer Center Radiation Oncology (Dr. John Kirkpatrick), Duke Neurosurgery (Dr. Peter Fecci), and Kanawha Hospice Care (Miranda Broyles, NP & Gina Huffman, RN).
