Michael Chapman Obituary
MR. MICHAEL CHARLES CHAPMAN entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2025, in Marietta GA, his home for the past 24 years. Michael was formerly of Rand and Charleston WV. Michael was born on December 5, 1953, to his late parents Burdell Chapman Jr and Rosa Carey Chapman. Michael worked at Federal Express as a courier in Charleston, WV. He briefly worked at an exterminating service out of Woodstock GA before retiring. Michael was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan for many years. Michael leaves to cherish his wife/caregiver Mitzi Kincaid-Chapman, son Michael Chapman Jr., both of Marietta GA, step-daughter Kamecia Kincaid of Marietta GA, sisters Barbara Rutledge of Reynoldsburg, OH, Rita Chapman of Charleston WV, brother Roger Chapman of FL, and his god-daughter Dionne Beverly of Charleston WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Burdell Chapman Jr., Larry (Egypt) Chapman. Michael will be missed very much by all who knew him.
Services for Michael will be held Friday, January 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 432 Shrewsberry St Charleston, WV.
Viewing at noon, services to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Dunn officiating.
SpringHill.
Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Charleston, WV
Arrangements Durgan Funeral Home, Beckley, WV.

Dear Mitzi, Little Mike and the Chapman family,
I was very sadden to hear of Michael´s passing. He will always be remembered as a joyful fun loving man I affectionately called "Charlie." We made each other laugh at crazy times, such as when he was in the hospital for a minor surgery and we kept cracking jokes that made his stitches hurt. Thanks for being a loving brother-in-law.
