David Slusher Obituary

LEBANON, VA David Wayne Slusher, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. David was born on December 30, 1962, in Salem, VA. A dedicated and compassionate man, he devoted many years of his life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. David had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or exploring nature's beauty. He especially treasured his hikes at the Peaks of Otter in Bedford, where he found peace and joy. Above all, David's greatest pride and joy were his boys, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Slusher. Survivors include his two sons Benjamin Slusher & wife Leeza and Nathan Slusher; father Jerry Slusher; brothers Kevin Slusher and Stephen Slusher, along with their spouses; and special friends Randy & Susie Hensley. Honoring David's wishes, the family will handle all services privately. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the Slusher Family.

I've known David for many years, especially in church events. I prayed many times for God to encourage and strengthen him. None of us go through life without making a mistake or two but the grace of God brings us peace and deliverance, I send my sympathy to Ben and Nathan along with their companions and wish settled peace to the family.
