Thomas McClaugherty Obituary

MARION, VA Thomas Shannon McClaugherty of Marion, age 69, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 10, 2025, at NHC in Bristol, VA. Tom was born on November 7, 1955, to loving parents Frank S. and Catherine Truesdale McClaugherty, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up in Glade Spring and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. He attended Virginia Highlands Community College and held several certificates and degrees. He is survived by his sister, Susan (David) Kella, of Arkansas; nephews Matthew (Tracie) McClaugherty of Colorado, Andrew (Amanda) Kella, Mark (Taylor) Kella; and niece Ashley (Chad) Goss, all of Arkansas; 12 grand nieces and nephews; along with special friends Debbie DeBord, Katie Williams, and Jimmy Frye will miss Tom's spicy personality. The family sends sincere thanks to all the folks at NHC of Bristol and Caris Hospice Services who took such good care of Tom. In keeping with Tom's wishes, there will be no public services. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the McClaugherty Family.
