Veda Rae Meyer

YELLOW SPRINGS Veda Rae Meyer, age 75 of Yellow Springs, passed away Sunday July 14, 2013. She was born June 2, 1938 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Camden) Moritz. Veda retired from the Fairborn City Schools after 23 years of service and was a member of Old Town United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Moritz. She is survived her husband of 57 years, Frederic; three daughters, Kimberly (Randy) McCaslin of Beavercreek, Tamara (Richard) Swinford of Yellow Springs, Dawn (Shawn) McClanahan of Cedarville; five grandchildren, Bryan (Sheena) Swinford, Christopher (Lindsey) McCaslin, Lindsay McCaslin (fiancé Brandon Roots), Dustin McClanahan, Courtney McClanahan; two great-grandsons, Evan McCaslin and Symin Swinford; as well as 18 grandpets. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 19, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Charles Hemming officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
