Jerri Dodge Obituary

YADKINVILLE — Jerri Lee Carlton Dodge, 77, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was a Yadkin County native and the daughter of the late Charlie Robert Carlton and Maude Macemore Carlton. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Carlton. She was a graduate of Yadkinville High School, retired as an office manager for Unifi, and was a member of South Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jamie Dodge and wife, Kristi, of Yadkinville; two grandchildren, Will and Addi; two sisters, Jan Hall of Forbush and Sandy Chipman (Bobby) of Yadkinville; a sister-in-law, Maebelle Carlton of Yadkinville; plus several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Mackie-Sinclair-Hawkins Funeral Chapel (2001 W. Main St.) officiated by the Rev. Phil Beavers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice or to Yadkin County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1355, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Mackie-Sinclair-Hawkins Funeral & Crematory Service of Yadkinville is serving the Dodge family. An online guest registry is available at www.mackiesinclairhawkins.com.
