May 20, 2012

To the Stauffer Family, I worked next to Ben in the CNC Department at Progressivive Design and Machine. Did not know him for a real long time like many of you. When every I would drop a bolt, tool, piece of metal, etc. Ben would say, "You dropped some thing". He left us so soon in life. I read the guest book entries and see he liked olives. He left a jar behind in the refrigerator at work. He and I were also big coffee drinkers. He would pass me often on the way to and from the coffee pot. He also left his lunch box behind. Hope the family doesn't mind but we donated the bread to a mother duck, who nested outside the shop. The mother gave birth to eight little ducklings. They followed their mother as they left the nest on Friday. I'll be thinking of you for a long time Ben. Rest in Peace... John Gebhart

Although I did not know Ben personally, I did meet him while he was in high school with my kids, Derek & Mel Bacon. Wanted to extend my deepest sympathy and say I truly understand what your family and Wendy are going thru. The journey thru grief is long and like an obstacle course, because when you are knocked off your feet with the devastating loss of your beloved son, friend, brother... there is no way to ever completely understand & no right or wrong way to grieve, only your way. Crying for all of you today.... Peace be with you.

If my path be smooth or rugged
If with thorns or roses strewn
Where i go the Father seeith
And He will leave me not alone
If I take the wings of morning
Far within the silent sea
Even there His hand will lead me
Even there my God will be
Though the gloom of night be round me
Though I cannot see my way
yet the Lord will see and guide me
Because unto Him the night is day
If my thoughts are good or evil
Set me think to hide them not
There is one above all seeing
And He beholdth every thought.
And ever more my eyes beholds me
And all my ways to Him are known
And His loving arms enfolds me
He will leave me not alone

Rest in Peace Stauffer
