Brian Trout Obituary

RED LION Brian Lee Trout, 55, died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy from Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Brian was born on May 7, 1959, in York, son of Lloyd and Betty (Warner) Trout of Brogue. In addition to his parents, Brian is also survived by two sons, Nathan Trout and Kory Trout, both of York; a daughter, Jessica Trout of York; and two grandchildren, Sierra and Brian; three brothers, Alan Trout, Craig Trout and Wayne Trout; a sister, Louise Brunstetter. He graduated from Red Lion High School in 1977. He was the COO of Palm Beach Tan. He was also formerly a manager/shift supervisor at Olin and Flinchbaugh Engineering. He was extremely hard working, honest, loyal, and always helped others. He took pride in everything he did. He loved playing golf and Texas Hold'em. He loved spending time with his family. Family always came first. He loved watching a breathtaking sunset and realizing then that there is a power greater than ourselves. He always believed in "doing the next right thing." He definitely made this world a better place by giving his all in everything he did and he touched so many lives. He will live on forever in our hearts and we will cherish all the wonderful memories we have of him. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Harmony Presbyterian Church, 2295 Delta Road, Brogue, with the Rev. Robert S. Edmundson and the Rev. Randy Brunstetter, Brian's brother-in-law, officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt. Joy, PA 17552; or to New Harmony Presbyterian Church, 2295 Delta Road, Brogue, PA 17309. KefferFH.com

HUGS, LOVE & give the same to Derek... our hearts are broken, but accepting that both of you are with our heavenly Father and we will see you soon!!!! HUGS & LOVE!

Whether it's in the future, the present or past
A life is to live and enjoy but not too fast

One thing you have left us will be your thoughts
A kind word to many helps cope with their faults

As your brother as I type I sometimes still weep
As the bible says you have simply gone to sleep

Because I miss you L'Bro and what could've been
To see you again we must try not to live in sin

Life is no straight line it has many many curves
L'Bro thanks everyone for all their kind words

Written to him, about him, or to his family
He touched the soul of many, none more than me

And I know one day he'll be the one to greet us
In a place where each day will be like Christmas

Rest In Peace dear brother
Love you with all my heart

Brian was an amazing person. He cared and gave so much of himself for others. He loved his children so much and was a wonderful provider and father to them. We remained good friends over the years and did whatever we needed to do together for our children. He definitely set the bar high as an example to all people as a father and friend. May you rest in peace Brian. My deepest love and sympathy to Nathan, Kory, Jessica and children and the entire Trout family.

I only worked with Brian for a few months at (formerly) Baja Beach and what he taught me helped me at previous jobs as well as my current job. As I scrolled through these comments I saw one after another talking about always having a smile on his face and it's so true. Every time he walked through that door he was smiling. This completely took me by surprise and I'm sending love and prayers to his entire family.

Jessica, Nathan, & Kory, our hearts are full for you in the loss of your dad. We've know your dad for about 35 years, always found him a pleasure to be around and never found your dad say a mean word against anyone. Keep in your hearts the wonderful memories you have and you'll never be lonely. He's only as far as your next thought. And his extended "FAMILY" can tell you stories of him you may not know, but all will be about a generous giving man who will be missed but thought of fondly.

After reading Brian's obituary he was a prime example of what God's children is to be. He was raised by wonderful parents and was surrounded by his loving children, siblings and friends. He will be greatly missed and never be forgotten. He lived his life to the fullest and never gave up. He always had a smile and a good outlook in life. Brian was a great example to follow, even through any flaws like we all have in our lives he had a positive attitude and didn't question why me and pressed forward till the end when he went home to be with his heavenly Father, till we all meet again RIP
