David & I met during the early 70s while both being drummers in the area. We spent a great deal of time together while having some memorable adventures. He was 1 of my closest friends and 1 of the most loyal. He was always good natured & looking for fun. He was always true to himself & lived life on his terms while being accepting of others. We were kindred spirits and I'll miss him always. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace my friend; You're gone too soon.

David, I can't believe you're gone. We had some good times with my brother Mike. You will be missed by many. I always loved the competition between you and Mike, about who was the best drummer. You were both equals in that respect. My sincere condolences to your children and rest of your family. You are gone far too soon

My Deepest Sympathy to all family and friends.
DAVID DIEHL, just saying his name brings to mind many exceptional visions. A young man who could be recognized by simply walking into a room, with the swagger none other could possible duplicate. A voice of deep conviction, laughter, love, kindness, gratitude, caring more for others than he ever did himself, and a true light hearted banter none could possibly forget. Eyes filled with multiple colors of the earth, in greens, golds, browns and an overwhelming touch of fulfillment. A love and pride for America and all good things this country has to offer. His long-time partner/wife/girlfriend spoke of his facial dimples which popped out with each and every huge grin across his strong and masculine face. The adoration he had for music, dance, singing, playing his drums in so many well-known bands will NEVER be forgotten. He always had a strong love for animals and children. A good and wonderful man who left this earth far too soon and he has left behind a multitude of people shocked, grieving, sorrowful, heart-broken, and overwhelmed with sadness. In God's precious hands he rests now, with the wings of an Angel. Remembered by many, forgotten by NONE! Amen.
