Dennis L. McWilliams Sr.

SEVEN VALLEYS Dennis L. McWilliams, Sr., 79, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at Manor Care North. Mr. McWilliams was born on March 26, 1934, in Seven Valleys. He was the son of the late Palmer D.H. and Mildred (Lentz) McWilliams. He worked as a dairy farmer, retiring in 2000. After retirement he enjoyed attending auctions and tending to his roadside produce stand in Seven Valleys. Dennis was an avid Orioles and Steelers fan. Dennis served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Dry Run Rod and Gun Club of Center County, Farmers Assoc., PA Holstein Assoc., Farmers Union, and the Land-O-Lakes Coop. Survivors include four sons, Gary and his wife, Gail of Dallastown, Denny of Seven Valleys, Mark and his wife, Donna of Seven Valleys, and Kerry of York; one daughter, Myra of Mechanicsburg; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Howard of Glen Rock; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick; three sisters, Arlene, Charmaine, and Odessa; and five brothers, Carlton, Burnell, Palmer, Robert, and Ronald. His funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Robert M. Goodling Funeral Home, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys. Officiating will be the Rev. Katie Brantner of St. Pauls Lutheran Church Hametown. Viewings will be held Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, with full military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
