Dover Twp - Emily Elizabeth Shoemaker, age 17, of Dover Township, Dover, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at York Hospital.
Born February 26, 2002 in Marietta, Georgia, she was a daughter of Steven L. Shoemaker of Dover, and Christine (Ely) Shoemaker also of Dover. She was a Senior at Dover High School where she was involved in cheerleading, volleyball, and softball. and also worked as a Hostess at Buffalo Wild Wings. Her proudest accomplishment was modeling in several States.
In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by a sister, Maxine L. Shoemaker of Dover; paternal grandmother, Linda L. (Lohman) Shoemaker of Manchester; paternal grandfather, David L. Shoemaker of East Berlin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, December 20, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2215 Brandywine Lane, York, with the Rev. Dr. Janyce Jorgensen, officiating. Burial will be private. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.

Oh Emily, I so wish you could still be here, nothing is the same, since you were taken away. Your Mom and little sister Maxine are so lost. Your Dad is too.
We all miss you so much, Your Aunt Shelley has started MADS Enterprises.. it helps children follow their dreams. She is doing a wonderful job.
We talk of you daily and look at your pictures. I wish whoever took your account off of social media, would put it back up. they had no right to do that. there were so many photos of your modeling on there. We shall meet again, my beautiful niece.

We had such a good Thanksgiving together and watching you girls all laugh and have fun and talk about your 18th birthdays that were coming up and that you would be celebrating this year and graduations... The plans you all wanted to do and your futures.... It is so heartbreaking that you were taken from us...
