Florence Leckrone Obituary

Florence T. Leckrone

York - Florence Teresa (Ream) Leckrone, 92, entered into rest Sunday, January 17, 2021 at home. She was the wife of the late Joe H. Leckrone, who preceded Florence in death May 30, 2014.

Born in York on January 21, 1928, Florence was the daughter of the late Murray J. Ream and Fannie Miller Krebs. She was a 1945 graduate of North York High and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Leckrone was mother to nine children: Steven G. Leckrone and wife Diane, Daniel J. Leckrone and wife Melinda, Jane Leckrone Chalker and husband Dr. David Chalker, James Leckrone and wife Janine, Ann R. Wade, Joe H. Leckrone, Sue Leckrone Thompson and husband Edward Thompson, Thomas Andrew and wife Krysty, and Barbara Leckrone; grandmother to 21, great grandmother to 29.

Florence was a kind, gentle, loving, and creative person who will be greatly missed.

Services will be private at the family's convenience. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. is assisting with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn-Mar Human Services, 310 Old Freeland Rd. Freeland, MD 21053.

I will always love you and miss you so much, Mom-Mom. I'm so grateful for my childhood memories of the one of best grandmothers a grandchild could ever have received. I will cherish those memories the rest of my life.
