George Sharp Obituary
Glen Rock - George Sharp, 80 passed away peacefully at Manor Care South in York, PA on June 13th, 2021.
George was born November 15th, 1940 in York, PA.
He leaves behind his wife Deborah Kauffmann, a daughter, Dodie (Sharp) Stabley and her husband Timothy, a son, Duane Sharp and wife Sharon, 4 grandchildren: Janessa (Stabley) Danz and husband Ryan; Krista Sharp, Kelvin Sharp, and Kamden Sharp, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris Sharp; two brothers, Dale Sharp and David Sharp; a sister, Nancy (Sharp) Bray; and an infant son, Todd Anthony Sharp.
George was a 1958 graduate of William Penn High School. He served as a Corporal in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a farrier. He enjoyed blacksmithing, horses, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
His beloved pets were his dogs Mattie and Nellie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rocky Ridge Park in York in the Grey Squirrel pavilion at 1:00 p.m. on June 27, 2021.
Final arrangements were handled by John W. Keffer Funeral and Crematory, Inc.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, SPCA, or the Alzheimer's Association.

George was our farrier for many years and was skilled in his profession and always reliable. He usually had a story or two to share while he trimmed and shod our horses and never charged extra for the entertainment. Although I haven´t seen or heard from him in several years, I hold onto those fond memories. Godspeed.
