Shirley J. Fissel
East Berlin
Shirley J. (Knight) Fissel, 80, passed away on January 5, 2017. She was the wife of Larry G. Fissel with whom she would have celebrated their 61st anniversary on January 21.
Shirley was born July 7, 1936 in Mt. Joy Twp., the daughter of the late Richard and Lorraine (Shatzer) Knight.
Shirley was an active member of Zwingli U.C.C. in East Berlin, and the East Berlin Lioness Club.
In addition to her husband Larry, Shirley is survived by two daughters, Lori S. Roller and her husband, Wayne, and Robin L. Saxon and her husband, Rodrick, all of East Berlin; three granddaughters, Leslie A. Roller, Melanie J. Rusnak and her husband, Steven, and Nicole L. Saxon; a grandson, Justin L. Roller and his wife, Erin; a great-granddaughter, Kiersten Lee; a step great- granddaughter, Kyleigh; a brother, Richard J. Knight and his wife, Barbara; an aunt, Betty Leonard, and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Sandra J. Knight; and two brothers, Colin L. and Barry G. Knight.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Zwingli U.C.C., 403 W. King St, East Berlin, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Margaret J. Wise, officiating. Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery. There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Berlin Union Cemetery, 1614 Germany Rd, East Berlin, PA 17316. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, is in charge of arrangements.
