Bobbie befriended me my 1st year of racing while he was driving for Mc Millan bros. He and Nancy put up with me showing up at their house for advice, which I always got. A talented driver and a true gentleman. Thanks for the memories. Prayers for the family.

I am so sorry to have read about Bobbie's passing in the Speed Sport. Our thoughts and prayers to Nancy and the children. I spent a lot of time with Bobbie through the years in racing. I last saw Bobbie at Williams Grove when they were showing the #77 car. It was so nice seeing him and it brought back a lot of memories. May he rest in peace.
Fondly,

I am saddened to hear of Bobbie's passing. My memories of him as a racer in Central Pennsylvania are many. As a boy my family were fans of Ray Tilley then and enjoyed the competitive battles Bobbie and Ray had in the 60's. After Ray retired Bobbie was one of the PA hot shoes that kept us coming out each weekend. But the memory that stays with me most is this. I attended Williams Grove's 50th Anniversary show, May 19, 1989. Before the feature the speedway was recognizing former champions. When Bobbie's name was given I discovered he was sitting almost directly behind me in the grandstand. I turned around and asked, "Bobbie, do you still sign autographs?". Sure he said and I got his that day in the event program, a treasured possession. I had a chance to know the Tilleys better thru the EMMR convention and saw Bobbie there with his son over the years. Bobbie, Ray, and the other racers made my youth a place I wish I could return to. I am thankful to have had the chance to know them if even in a small way. May God be with the family. I assume Bobbie and Ray will be catching up on things.
