Laura McCord Obituary
She was born August 14, 1918 in Perry County a daughter of the late Basil and Margaret Sowards Abram.
She was a retired employee of The Brush Pottery, Roseville and a member of the Moxahala First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sisters, Florence Paxson of Moxahala, and Esther (Gene) Rose of New Lexington. Her brothers, Donald and Sam Abram of New Lexington and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McCord (September 24, 2005); her parents; brothers, Leonard, Chester, Homer, and Elzie Abram; and her sisters, Hazel Hill and Thelma Quinn.
Calling hours will be held from 3-8 pm Sunday at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home 118 S. Jackson St., New Lexington with funeral services Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Newlon officiating. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
