James Scroggin Obituary
Gainesville - James A. Scroggin, 70, of Gainesville, passed away November 3, 2008 at Shands at UF. Mr. Scroggin was born in Dunnellon, Fl. and moved to Gainesville 42 years ago from Arcadia. He was an active member of Westside Baptist Church and an avid hunter.
Mr. Scroggin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Genola Scroggin, daughters Camala (Jeff) Kuhl, of Bronson, Laura (Roger) Hutto, of Jasper, sister Louise Hightower of Newport, TN, 1 grandson, Luke James Hutto, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 7, 2008 at 11:00 am at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Fl. with Pastor Rev. Tom Price officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home.

Mrs. Genola,
You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. Mr. Jim was such a gentle and nice man. We will miss seeing and talking to him on Wednesday nights! He always had such a nice smile and kind word. May the Lord bless and keep you all during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family of Jimmy. I remember Jimmy from his days in Dunnellon. He was always a quite listener and friend. Conduct of a very cordial and polite person. I'm sure he wil be missed by many.
