I was very sorry to read of Gerry's passing. We both attended Holy Cross School in Euclid. He lived on Locherie Ave. and I lived on the next street over. He and my friend and I often walked home from grade school together. I saw him many years ago when he came up for an event at Holy Cross. May you rest in peace, Gerry.

Fr. Jerry was instrumental in my family coming into the Church. I met Fr. Jerry through my time as a student at UD. He had a genuine love for the Lord and expressed it best through liturgical music. He sang his heart out to the Lord and we couldn“t help but to join in. We benefitted from his leadership and guidance through the UD RCIA process and our daughter was baptized at Immaculate Conception chapel by Fr. Jerry. Over the years he was at UD and Mt. St. John, we regularly hosted him for dinner. Fr. Jerry always left us with scripture to reflect on, sacred music to listen to or a funny YouTube video to watch. He left us far better than he found us-and I thank the Lord our paths joined for those years. Rest in the peace of Jesus Christ, Fr. Jerry. We will miss you.

We were very saddened to hear of Fr. Jerry's passing. He was a treasured friend to us for over 45 years. Over the last few years we were very happy to enjoy our frequent phone conversations, which were always both fun and spiritual.
Jerry's devoted love for God and Our Lady was always evident in his daily life. We hope and pray that we can continue his example on our faith journey.
We love you Jerry. Thank you for your friendship. We were blessed to have you in our lives.
To the family and the Marianist Community -- we wish that we could be there for the funeral service but are not able to do so. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Father Jerry's legacy springs from his willingness to serve others selflessly and without hesitation. He was always there for you as a priest, as a Campus Minister, as a teacher, and as a friend. His commitment to the UD family was absolute and generous, and he was literally the "priest on call" 24/7 for those
in need of assistance in emergency situations. He was the embodiment of the Marianist spirit, and I will never forget that he helped me through the grief I wrestled with after losing first my wife and then my son. May choirs of angels be there to welcome you into paradise!
