Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Kinslow Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I am proud to say I'm Anthony's Aunt Heather. My daughter was asked to bring a photo and a little info on Veterans in her family. I had to look up the correct date though this site. I cannot seem to ever remember when he died. If asked, I would have said it was three years ago. I cannot believe it has been 5. I love to remember him coming to my porch to have me take a picture of the bass he just caught in the pond. Or remember watching him mow the lawn or cut down branches for a bonfire. The worst is remembering how loving he was with children. He loved Lucie and Peter and my 4 kids with such passion of a father. It kills me to know how wonderful of a daddy he would have been. I burst into tears every time I think of him holding my baby Maggie and rocking her in his arms, giving her little kisses, and as comfortable as if he had been doing it for years. You don't see many 21 year old men so content with children. Remembering him will always feel like an open wound. I guess that will never heal but that's ok. He was so truly loved. Love, Aunt Heather Trevethan and Family

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Anthony, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

A year has passed since Anthony was taken from us. I wish I could say the grief is less painful. I can only say its not as constant. We all miss him so deeply. Today is his birthday. He would have been 23 years old. I remember the day of his birth as vividly as the day two people knocked on my door to report his death. I love him as much today as I did the day they put him in my arms. The love we shared will never change, never be forgotten, and never die. Thank you to everyone who share their love, compassion and care at this site. Pray for my sons eternal rest. God bless.

i served in the same platoon with Spc. Kinslow! he was a good person and a better friend! my heart goes out to all his family and friends that knew this wonderful human being! no matter what was said or spoken of this young man, his "battle buddies" knew the better side of the man. he served his country, but to him it was more like fighting along the sides of his friends. Kinslow will forever be apart of the long list of soilders who gave their life for this wonderful thing we Americans take fore granted...FREEDOM! and unfortunatly freedom isnt always free!

Please accept the heartfelt sympathies and the Proud and Honorable thank yous for the loving life you have given in support of Freedom. I am an Ohio Marine Mom too, my son stationed in Baghdad. I have shed many tears for all our fallen and the families left behind. WE WILL NOT FORGET. You do NOT grieve alone. I wish that throughout the years of this war that I had learned one thing to say that would help. Alas, I cannot. Words do not justify the loss and pain of the ultimate sacrifice. Please know though, you are in my heart, in my prayers, mixing my tears with yours, and understanding how your greatest fear became a really harsh reality. I wish, pray, with all my heart, mind, body and soul, that NO ONE would EVER have to face this. In ending, my sorrow I share with you. My thanks for your ultimate sacrifice I send. May God have eternal mercy upon all our Blessed Souls.

It's us against the world tonight
I hope you know, it's taking all of my might
To keep from crying, cause I have to watch you go
You packed your bags, your things, I know
And I drove you to the place you needed to be
and as I watched you walk away from me
I cried, I cried, hoping you'd come back to me
Come back to me
I need you here
I hope everything
Is ok, is ok over there
I know it's only a year
But you're so far away
I hope,I , I hope, I
Didn't forget to say
I love you.
The letters I get, are never enough
For all I want is for your touch
I'd give up the world, just for you
For just one more, rendevous
But now, you're over there somewhere
Somewhere you don't belong because
Where you belong, is here in my love
Come back to me
I need you here
I hope everything
is ok, is ok over there
I know it's only a year
But you're so far away
I hope, I, I hope, I
Didn't forget to say
I love you

Tony- I will always remember how much you made me laugh. Even when I was having a bad day you still managed to cheer me up. I really regret not staying in touch with you after I graduated. We always had this spark between us and I never could figure out what it was. I was able to see all the medals you achieved and it made me so proud of you. I am so proud to have known you, and I will never forget you. I can't wait to see you in heaven.

Tony, your were truly one of the greatest friends any of us could ever ask for. You were always so caring and sensitive. Your pretty much jus like one of the girls. :) We remember that time we all came home to the apartment you lived at with Jen and we all sat in a circle on the living room floor and scratched and massaged each other's back. It was so silly. (Kristina W.) I will always remember the time you stayed with me at my Mom's and we stayed up all night watching X-men 2 and were afraid my Mom would get mad b/c we didn't tell her you were staying so we tried to hid all your things when she got up but, forget your leather jacket and shoes. Lol... those were good times. I just wish we had more time together, although we only dated a short while... the time we spent together was wonderful. (Christina V) I will just miss you so much Tony. You were such a good friend and were always there for anyone when they needed you. I will truly miss you. (Jen V.) Tony, you were such a sweet man. You were so kind to my daughter. You treated her like she was your own, you could never ask for a better roommate. I will truly truly miss you. We will all truly miss you. You'll never know just how much we truly love and care for you. You will forever be with us in our hearts. We love you Tony and will miss you even more. May God be with you boy.

"The Final Roll Call"
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.
Now all we have are momories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in His keeping,
We have you in our hearts.

I had the priviledge to meet Tony in Korea last summer - he was a friend and fellow soldier of my boyfriend, Ben Rader. I made several trips over to Korea and each time I looked forward to seeing Tony. We had nicknamed him "The Kid" because I couldn't remember his name the first time I met him and he reminded me that he was "the kid" hanging around with Ben and our other friend Mark Zimmerman.
I wrote and sent cards to Tony the entire time he was in Iraq - in his letters back to me, he expressed how much he cared about his family and how fortunate he was to have been able to take leave to see you all.
I valued Tony as a good friend, almost like a little brother. I loved him and have cried long and hard for what happened. He surely deserved more from life and obviously had great things to offer.
Please know that he touched my life, along with Ben, Mark and my younger brother, SGT Stephen Mader, who he also served with in Korea. We all loved The Kid and will never, ever forget him.
Best regards and sincere condolences.
