Joan and I were in touch by email every day for years. She was always mentioning Yvette and Yvonne and their children as well as the activities they were involved with. The pictures she would frequently send were always of them and their accomplishments. Starting my day now without an email from her hasn't been the same. My prayers will be with you, her family as you begin to restructure your lives without her in the days ahead. I count it a privledge to have known her and am thankful for all the good times and laughter we shared.

Dear Joan,

We never had this conversation but we should have. As it usually turns out, we never say the things we should when they will make a difference in life so now I am, in death.
Let me start with how much I admired you. You were a strong and caring soul. You held your family and their wellbeing in the highest regard. You cherished your friendships to the point of self-sacrifice and were usually met at the door with an extremely excited NANA!!, from any or all of your beautiful grandchildren.
You lived life on your terms and did very well for yourself. You should take great pride in the fact that your influence has molded the lives of two completely confident, strong and very capable young women.
I want you to know that you are loved, will be missed, but will never be forgotten. Please find peace in your new life, you truly deserve it.

Sincerely,

L. Bachman
