To the Hill Family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. As I read all of the wonderful tributes from friends and family members, I'm reminded of the memorable times of my youth when our families would get together. Clearly, the warm, funny, easygoing man I knew as a child, is still the same great man you honor today. My best wishes to all of you

My grandfather, "Gramps" R B Hill, was a great man. He was very loving and i am glad i got to spend 12 great, memory filled years with him. He loved to talk and tell stories, and I am glad i was able to hear many. I apreciate all of your condolences, and my family and I loved Gramps very much.

To the Hill Family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I really feel priviledged to have worked with Mr. Hill. What a great sense of humor! I thoroughly enjoyed talking to him about his days as a CPA and 'old Norfolk'. He was a great man.

To Barbara and all the Hill's,
We will cherish fond memories of Braxton , from early childhood (Cub Scouts and beyond) to early adult life (professional advice for my first business venture) and being the always friendly, engaging and helpful neighbor for over 40 years.

Brack & Family,
Your dad was the consumate professional in all that he did and a true Southern gentleman to all that he met. His warm, friendly smile always made me feel welcome when I saw him a Rotary. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. May God bless and be with you and the entire family.

I Love You Gramps! I will never forget holidays at you and Granny's when I was younger. The choo choo train, helping me with the piano to sitting on your lap and hearing all about the battles you fought. You are greatly missed and I Love You.

Gramps:
I am so thankful for everything that you taught me as I was growing up, and I am amazed at the number of lives that you touched.
As one of my best friends put it, "I'll remember him fondly for being willing - like most of your family - to give a teenager a break . . . I think there was probably a decent lesson in there for us as parents, as well, about letting the less important stuff slide every once in a while."
I hope I will be able to pass along to my own sons - your greatgrandsons - the things you taught me about life, responsibility and family.
I love you and miss you.

Dad
Thanks for all you gave Mom and us kids.
You put me on a bicycle and said "ride it."
You sent me to college and said "study your history."
You helped me be a Dad.
Then you helped me be a Gran-Dad.
Now you have gone on for us to follow your wise advices with Granny and our family.
Thanks Gramps,
Mom (Granny), Brack, Brick, Bryan, Bruce and Brooks....

We will miss you so much "Gramps". There was never a dull moment when you were in the room and that is a good thing. We all loved to banter with you; it was fun to watch you "hold court" and back up your points and beliefs with countless facts and statistics. What a smart man you were.
You lived a long and wonderful life and I was so happy I was able to be a part of it for the last 22 years. You will be in a better place now, but just know you leave a big void in our lives. We hope to join you, one day, in your happier place. We love you.
Your daughter-in-law,
Elaine (and on behalf of my daughters Stephanie and Alisa, who loved you, too.)
