Johnathan Pinney Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Oct. 17, 2008.
PINNEY, Johnathan Christopher, age 29, of Midlothian, Va., departed this life on Thursday, September 25, 2008. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William W. Beasley Jr., and Wilbur S. and Peggy Beasley Pinchbeck. He is survived by his loving parents, Terry and Linda Pinney; two sisters, Ashley and Katie Pinney; his grandmother, Eloise Pinney; and a great-uncle, Paul H. Fox. He was a member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church, where he was also a Boy Scout. He attended Riverside School, Benedictine High School and Midlothian High School, where he played football. Johnathan attended the Business School at Longwood College and then the Hospitality and Restaurant Administration program at Missouri State University. He had a great love for his friends and family, and never met a dog he didn't like. He always had a twinkle in his eye and communicated with a very clever sense of humor. He was a master at making everyone feel welcome and at exhibiting his extraordinary culinary skills. Johnathan made friends wherever he traveled, both in Europe, as well as the United States; no one was a stranger to him. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, Midlothian. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Johnathan's name to the American Cancer Society or to Riverside School, 2110 McRae Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235.

Dave and I are so very sorry for your loss. We know your son must have been a fine young man and was far too young to have left you. We will remember your family in our prayers.
