Jean Inez George

GEORGE, Jean Inez, 84, passed away after a long battle with terminal breast, bone and lung cancer, in the late evening, on November 1, 2008. She is survived by her grandson, Forest George; her daughter-in-law, Ann George; her brother-in-law, Charlie O'Brien; her nephew, Charles Thurston; and many other nephews, nieces and cousins. I've never quite had the words to describe my grandmother, but she always had a very strong will. She always had to be in control of any situation that involved her. It was a character trait that was both a blessing and a curse. Jean had an undying love for me which will never be forgotten. She was a truly remarkable woman who will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday at Riverview Cemetery.
