Marian D. Backer

BACKER, Marian D., of Richmond, passed away January 23, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Moe Backer; her children, Susan Mitchell (Jack), David Cohen (Geri) and Sanford Cohen (Jacalyn Ely); her stepchildren, Charles Backer (Anne), Richard Backer (Lois) and Joan Paxton (Walt); and many loving grandchildren and great- grandchildren; two sisters, Alexandra Kaufman and Barbara London (Seymour). Mrs. Backer was preceded in death by her first husband, Abraham Cohen. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. Interment Beth El Cemetery at Forest Lawn.
