Betty D. Melson

MELSON, Betty D., 82, of Richmond, Va., died on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Melson. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Laura Melson of Hurst, Texas, James and Veronica Melson of Falls Church, Virginia, and Michael and Mylene Melson of Glen Allen, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Katie (Melson) Leslie and her husband, Adam, Ashley (Melson) Qualley and her husband, Grant, Erin (Melson) Semprun and her husband, Chris, Kristie Melson, Drew Melson, Danny Melson, and Ryan Melson; and two great-grandchildren, Campbell and Sophie Leslie. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3 at 11 a.m. at The Hermitage, 1600 Westwood Avenue, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Cornelius Corps, an inner-city ministry in Washington, D.C.
