Valerie & David,
I do think of your dad from time to time n remember him as the one who seemed to keep us grounded during our military service time. We transported artillery shells (105 mm howitzer). Your dad was responsible for our unit. His laugh n smile was infectious. We respected him though we sometimes drove him crazy. He didnt want to be near us when we were moving shells around n sometimes dropped them
I dont know if your dad ever told you this but we were a SRF (Select Reserve Force) which was on standby for activation to Vietnam. We were, of course, never activated.

Dearest Val, Kevin and family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your beloved father's passing. Although I did not know him, I do know the wonderful daughter he has left behind to carry on his legacy of love.
There simply are no words that will console you and your family, but know that you are kept so very close in the hears of all those who love you.

To Valerie, David, Jim and family:
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Peter. He was a very nice, sincere gentleman who loved his family. As a distant cousin, he provided me with good advice and moral support and was always a good cousin to me, always providing a kind word. And of course, we all remember his wonderful father and mother, Michael and Martha and how nice they were to everyone. May the Lord give you comfort during this time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

David and Valerie,
I had the privilege of knowing your dad via the MN Nat'l Guard. We were members of the Headquarter's Company of the Rainbow Division,s 151st Artillery Battalion. He was a leader in the military as he was in civilian life. Although, we separate after service and go our way, we had a bond that brought back our service memories whenever we met.
Your dad will remain in my memory and his memory is eternal.
