Ann Fife Marshall

Ann Fife Marshall, 89, died at her home in Charlottesville on Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

She was born in Charlottesville, the daughter of William O. Fife, Commonwealth's Attorney, and Sarah Maupin Fife. She attended Hollins College and the University of Virginia, where she received a B.S. in Education.

She was married for 67 years to the Honorable David Barhydt "Barry" Marshall, Judge of the Charlottesville General District Court, who died last June.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Agnes Marshall of Charlottesville; her son, David Barhydt Marshall Jr. of Washington, D.C.; her son, William Fife Marshall, daughter-in-law, Denise Pies Marshall, and grandchildren, Barry William and Elisabeth Ann of Warren, Michigan; and her daughter, Ann Herndon Marshall and son-in-law, Richard Cappuccio, of Charlottesville.

The funeral will be private in accordance with her wishes.
