We would have big family gatherings during the holidays, and my mom would be in the kitchen cooking all day. She would make turkey, ham, stuffing, green bean salads, mash potatoes homemade, and cherry, apple, strawberry rhubarb, & pumpkin pies. However whenever she made cherry pie, my twin brother "Craig" would eat all the filling and leave the cherries or he would eat the entire pumpkin pie. She would have to make more pies. One time she caught him in his bedroom stuffing his face with the pumpkin pie. My mom would say "Craigy, why are you eating my pies. He would just laugh & smile from ear to ear. Then he would say, "Mom, Courtney helped me eat the pumpkin pie!" Being a twin sometimes had pitfalls. Always together, double trouble! That's a fond memory of my mom. Her response was "Really, with a laugh!" Courtney Brumback

Poem by Courtney Brumback: Angel Wings of Love
The greatest love of all is a child's love towards their mother.
God has handpicked a special Angel to guide my mother on her new journey in Heaven.
"The Angels, when they heard the news of my mother's arrival, began to sing, & dance from one cloud to another; with the hope of meeting their newest house guest."
God's Special Guest!
She is greeted with love, kindness, and affection by the angels; then she is carried to a special cloud in the sky.
She will look down from her cloud above; admiring the miracles of life that she left behind...
Smiling with pride that her love ones are doing well on earth.
Rejoice and Be Glad, Not Sad!
So don't be sad for the life she left behind; but rejoice in the new adventures she will explore in Heaven.
She will be happy, singing, rejoicing, dancing and meeting all kinds of people that she had only read about.
"The Kennedy's, Nelson Mandela, Honest Abe, Roosevelt, and many, many more.....!"
At Peace, and Finally She's Home!
You will always know that she is there looking over you when the lights around you flicker uncontrollably.
The lights are a sign that "She is happy and at Peace, and Finally Home!"
God's Home...
And She is God's Special Guest......

Jay, Courtney and Tally: I'm so sorry to find out about the passing of your mother. She was truly a one-of-a-kind woman - strong, determined, witty, devoted and loving. I will cherish our many "talks" about life and memories of family dinners at your house. I still think about all of you and wish you well. Betty

I will remember your mother fondly... A very kind, capable (and patient) lady who treated me as a member of the family. I hope all of you are carrying-on and are living well and happily. Her memory is served well by the enduring love of her children.

Courtney, Jay, and Tallie- I understand all too well the feeling of a loss of a parent and my heart goes out to all of you. I never knew just how accomplished your mother was. She was always so down to earth. I know she' s taking charge already up there. St. Peter will have his hands full. Love you all. Kim Hicks and the kids

I fondly remember your mother when she was at Trinity. Her wit and extensive knowledge was evident, even with the restraints of dementia. The third floor nursing staff and I extend our sympathy and prayers.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts during a difficult time.
My mother was a person that was one of a kind. She was highly intelligent and was always reading and gathering more information about life. She loved anything about "Einstein." She had a sense of humor that was playful and silly. She would stay up for hours just talking about the world and how it has changed with each and everyone of her children. She was always there for us when we needed her.
The matriarch of our family is now in heaven with my father, my twin brother (Craig) and my Irish Grandparents.
She is now at peace! This was everything she wanted in life was to live in a peaceful world; now the world is her oyster!
I will miss you Mom! Now it's just the three of us-"The Three Musketeers!"
Love Always,
Your Daughter,
Courtney Brumback
