Emma Terrell Ward

Emma Terrell Ward, 92, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2010, in Norcross, Georgia.

She was born on June 1, 1918, in Rochelle, Madison County, the daughter of the late Mary Magdalene Terrell and wife of the late Thomas Ward. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Henry Ward; four sisters, Betty Jackson, Rosetta Terrell, Gertrude Carter, Carrie Lee Davis; and a brother, Dennis Terrell.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Ward and his wife, Bernice, of Salisbury, Maryland; five grandchildren, John Ward and his wife, Denise, Darlene Ward-Wright and her husband, John, Marvin Ward and his fiancee, Tonya Clark, Myisha Green and Melvin Green; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment at the Main Uno Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Monday.
