W. Harold Lovette, 77, resident of 122 Hill and Dale, husband of Sandra Lee Floyd Lovette, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Columbus County, NC, October 3, 1938, he was a son of the late Clyde C. Lovette and Artie Mae Buffkin King. A 1956 graduate of Green Sea High School, Mr. Lovette earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Piedmont Technical College in 1973. He was a US Air Force Veteran and was retired from Snead Builders Supply after many years service. Mr. Lovette was preceded in death by his stepfather, Grover King; two brothers, Dale Lovette and Mitchell King; and two sisters, Jeanette Grainger and Clydia Clemmons. Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-four years of the home, are a son, Ryan H. Lovette and wife Darlene O. Lovette of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Noah R. Lovette and Hannah LeeAnn Lovette, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Dixie Cox and husband Richard of Laurinburg, NC, and Glennie Fowler and husband Donnie of Tabor City, NC; and a brother, Wayne King and wife Faye of Whiteville, NC. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Green Sea Cemetery in Green Sea, SC. The family will receive friends Friday at Blyth Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. and again immediately following the service Saturday in the Social Hall of Green Sea Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. For online condolences please visit www.blythfuneralhome.com.
