Elizabeth "Beth" K. Dane, 58, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Easton, following a bout with ovarian cancer.
Born in Allentown, Beth was the daughter of the late James B. Dane of Coopersburg and the late Carole L. (Nelson) Dane of Hancock, ME. She was a 1982 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, and attended Allentown College of Saint Francis DeSales.
Beth spent most of her career working in healthcare. She was an office manager for two family practice offices in the Lehigh Valley, before moving on to software support for STI Computer Services in Eagleville, PA. With her extensive background in medical practice management, she was promoted several times within STI, most recently to product manager for the company's practice management software package.
Beth was an incredible friend to everyone she met. She was a fierce and loyal friend who would do anything for anyone, often putting her own needs aside. She loved traveling, gambling, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. Beth found a way to combine all three when she went on her first of twenty cruises starting 9 years ago. She also loved a good road trip to nowhere in particular; for Beth, it was always about the time spent with friends, not the destination.
Survivors: She is survived by her sisters: Cynthia Dane and her partner David Matz of Penobscot, ME, and Theresa Ogden and her husband Kenneth, of Dexter, ME. She is also survived by several dear and cherished friends that made up her extended family: Robert Mackes of New Castle, DE.; Ryan Horvath and his husband Christopher Parker of Palm Springs, CA; Charles Cartwright of Lansdale; and Alexander (Joe) Lemheney and his husband David Sommers of Center Valley, PA.
Services: A celebration of Beth's life will be held at a later date to be determined.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (https://unitedwayglv.org), or to the charity of your choice.
