Raymond J. LaBuda, 75, of Coopersburg, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill.
Raymond grew up in Fountain Hill, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong sense of community. He was a proud graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business from Penn State University. His education laid the foundation for a successful career that spanned decades and multiple industries.
For 19 years, Raymond worked diligently for the Bethlehem Steel, participating in their esteemed loop course, which was a mark of distinction and excellence within the company. His industrious nature led him to the next chapter of his life as a custom home builder, showcasing his talent for creating spaces that families would cherish for generations. Eventually, he found his true calling as a financial advisor, serving clients with integrity at Janney Montgomery Scott and later Raymond James for over 25 years.
Raymond's commitment to his faith and community was evident in his long-standing role as a parishioner of the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, now Incarnation Of Our Lord Church in Bethlehem. He selflessly assisted with the church's finances for over 40 years, ensuring the stability and growth of his beloved parish.
An avid sports enthusiast, Raymond's passion for the Green Bay Packers was well-known among friends and family. He also found great pleasure in his "guys night out," a tradition that allowed him to unwind and share laughs with his closest friends.
Family was the cornerstone of Raymond's life. He shared many beautiful years with his loving wife, Kathy M. (Dravecz) LaBuda. Together, they raised a family that included their son Ray P. LaBuda of Macungie, daughter Kati LaBuda and her husband Shaun Hess of Coopersburg, and granddaughters Madison and Kirsten. Brothers, Tommy of Fountain Hill, Bob and his wife Angel of New Hope, and Jimmy and his wife Anita of Whitehall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his granddogs Madison, Victoria, Giroud, Lexi, and Saka. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret (Semuta) LaBuda, sister Sylvia Meadows, and niece Megan LaBuda.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday November 13, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
