Dear Merl,
How deeply missed you are. I can't begin to put into words what you meant to me. I remember the day we were getting ready to go to Tahoe when Ron and I were getting married how you took us into your living room and put the record on Going To The Chapel And Were Gonna Get Married. I still think of that day often. That meant alot to me when you did that. You taught us so many things through the years and I would always tell Ron (Your Dad is always right) because you were. You were one of the greatest Fathers out there and loved each and everyone your Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children. You had the greenest thumb of anyone I ever knew. No matter where you went, you always had a little garden. I heard that even when you went camping up to Don Pedro you would even plant onions at the camping site. You were the best Father-in-law a girl would ever want. It was such a pleasure to go back to Oaklahoma with you to the family reunion in 2005. What a trip that was. How excited I was when we stopped in Falon that first night of the trip and I won that $500.00. Ran into the motel room and woke you up to tell you. The look on your face when you found out it was off of a penny machine and only 20 cents. That was such a fun trip being with the whole family and meeting so many more Shelton's. I will deeply miss you and will remember all of our Thankgiving Dinners we had and how you always sliced the turkey. Won't forget the one when I stuffed the turkey and had to turn it around in the oven so you wouldn't see that I had stuffed it. LOL I thought for sure I was in trouble on that one. Thanks Merl for everything and most of all for your loving son Ron. I will love and take care of him for the rest of my life. I will miss you.

Dear Dad,
I can't begin to put into words how much you meant to me. All of your guideance, love, wisdom, humor, ect... will be missed so very much. I will miss and always remember all of our fishing trips. One of my greatest memories is when I was a boy and we would go fishing to Lions Dam. That's when you taught me how to cook. I couldn't of been but around 8 to 10 years old. Just you and me... Been wanting to go back up there just to see how it looks now and to catch a memory. I am sure you are with Mom now and you both are looking down on all of us from heaven. Thanks Dad for everything you did for me and all of the love you showed through the years. I miss you dearly.

Dad - We were honored to share your life with you. So many wonderful memories from playing checkers and chickenfoot to watching your eyes light up when you danced. I remember how surprised the ladies at Valley Comfort were when you grabbed them for a dance! (What a ladies man...) I still smile when I remember how you always told me that Jerry "is a good boy and never caused you a lick of trouble". That's because you were such a great father and wonderful man. Thank you for all the valuable life lessons and the joy you brought to our lives. We love you and will miss you always. I know your brilliant blue Shelton eyes are smiling down on us from heaven. We love you - Pam and Jerry Shelton

Grandpa, you meant the world to us, so much so that I named my son after you. I could never put it in words how much I will miss you. I can still here you tell me how proud you are of me, what a wonderful family I have, and how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband. I knew that when I would see you, you would have something special to tell me to warm up my heart. I will remember that forever! I will remember when I first got my license, you were the first one to take me on the freeway to go visit Grandma several times. Those were some great times and I have so many more. I love you Grandpa I promise to continue to make you proud!!!
