Daniel Yancey Obituary
Daniel H. “Danny” Yancey, age 73, of Cleveland, loving husband of 39 years to Jan Brogdon Yancey, died on Saturday, October 25, 2025. A native of Atlanta, Danny was the son of the late Hulon and Vivian Williams Yancey. He retired from Local 85 sheet metal workers’ union after 30+ years.
Memorial service will be Tuesday October 28, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord & Stephens, Danielsville. The family will have a visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday prior to the service.
Danny truly loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who called him “PawPaw” and “Pops”. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Kim (Keith) Harrison, of Royston, Amy (Troy Sims) Kastner, of Lawrenceville, and Troy (Carrie) Yancey, of Hull and stepson Wesley Moon (Tyler Banken) of New York; siblings Joe Bennett and Barbara Jean Bennett; grandchildren Robert (Meredith) Ford, Logan (Hannah) Ford, Avry, Myles, and Brynn Bayne, Riley Yancey (Taylor Jackson), Reagan (Austin) Seymour, and Ryder Yancey, stepgrandson Derrek (Erica) Harrison; great grandchildren Baylor, Brooks, Blakely Ford, Lottie and Daisy Harrison as well as several nieces and nephews.
