William Richard Yancey "Rick", of Fair Grove, MO, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at 7:30 AM at the age of 76 after battling cancer for a short period of time.
Left to mourn his loss is his loving wife Dianna, who shared 24 wonderful years of marriage full of love and fun.
Rick was born in St. Louis on March 9, 1949, to William and Helen Yancey. Rick's passion for life proved to have so many talents attached to him, from being a great dance instructor to having a very successful horse boarding business to the love of his 65' Ford mustang, while he won many awards, Oh and let's not forget his famous Chilli that won several awards as well.
Rick leaves behind his brother Ron Yancey of Battlefield, MO, niece Shannon and husband Jeff Johnson of Battlefield, MO, Nephew; Michael and wife Angie Yancey of Protem, MO, Great nephew: Tyler Smalley and wife Amanda and their three children; Ashme, Mia and Silver also cousins; David (Angie) and Mike Yancey of California, and a wonderful aunt Irene Benjamin from Newburgh, Indiana and his extended family Josh and Stacey Fletcher and seven children and many, many surviving members of Diana's family that loved and adored Rick.
He will be greatly missed by all of his many friends and family.
Please join in a casual non formal Celebration of Rick's life on October 28, 2025, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North (3506 North National Ave, Springfield Mo 65803)
