With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosa Lea Tabor, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on October 26, 2025, at the age of 86. Born to Basil and Hazel Lindsey on April 8, 1939, in the quaint town of Walnut Grove, Missouri, Rosa Lea lived a life rich in love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She resided in Strafford, Missouri, where she devoted herself to her family and community.
Rosa Lea was the heart of her family, a shining example of compassion and selflessness. She dedicated her life as a homemaker, ensuring that her loved ones were always cared for and cherished. Her generous spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she could often be found helping others in her community. A brief stint as a housekeeper at St. John's gave her a chance to share her love for caring with even more people.
In her quieter moments, you would find Rosa Lea tending to her daily chores with a heartwarming smile, whether she was ironing clothes or enjoying the beauty of nature through bird watching. Her zest for life was palpable, particularly in her remarkable speed walking, a passion that brought her joy and accomplishment.
Rosa Lea's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was deeply devoted to God and a pillar of strength for those around her. Her unwavering belief and gentle guidance left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Tabor, her son Terry Lee Tabor, daughter Paula Elaine Saari, a grandson Robert Paul, a great-granddaughter Bobbi Lynn Tabor, her sister Betty Lou Young, her brother Charlie Burton Lindsey, her special friend Bob Campbell and her beloved beagle Kevin.
She leaves behind her three loving children, Ricky Tabor, Diana Holton, and Garry Tabor, as well as her grandchildren Clint Allan, Ricky Ray, Jr., Brian Paul, Crystal, Tiffany, Ericka, Franki, Kristy Lynn, Garry Wayne, and Marlana Rochelle who will carry on her legacy of kindness and generosity. She is also survived by her sister Shirley Tanner, 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces her neighborhood family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Rosa Lea at a graveside service to be held on November 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
