Linda M. (Dubois) Tramontano, 83, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Dubois, Sr. and Madeline (Filippi) Dubois.
Linda, known to most simply as Nana, spent many summers working with her family at Ballard’s on Block Island, later joining Antonio’s Restaurant, where she proudly worked for over 25 years and met countless friends who became like family. Before retiring, she spent several wonderful years at GianFranco’s, doing what she loved most; sharing laughs, stories, and a good drink with anyone who crossed her path. At home, she was the same firecracker everyone adored: teasing Billy, trading jokes with her grandson, playing Keno, and cheering for her Red Sox. Sometimes mischievous, big-hearted, and never one to hold her tongue, Nana lived life her way; full of love, laughter, and just the right amount of trouble.
Linda leaves behind her beloved partner in crime, Bill Cattles. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Linda is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Renee Nixon and her husband George, Ashley Lepore and her partner Anthony Watt, and Matthew I. Lepore and his wife Emily. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren: Angelina Perry, Anthony Watt, Jr, Ava Watt, River Nixon, and Ian Nixon, her siblings, Victor Dubois and Gail Rickey.
Linda was predeceased by her daughters, Lori Ann Lepore and Lynn Lepore, as well as her brothers, Robert Dubois, Jr. and Paulie Dubois.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence.
