MARIE SMITH FRAZIER

Marie Smith Frazier entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of 75. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Marie was a retired certified nursing assistant. She was formerly employed with Big Bird Nursery as a teacher’s assistant / cook. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Lee Frazier. Devoted mother of Nathan Charles, Simon Darnell Frazier, Sholana Michelle Johnson, and the late Arthur Leon Frazier. Grandmother of the late Kerrochelle Johnson. Daughter of the late Simon Hawkins and Murthia Slocum. Sister of Shirley Jones, Eunice Harris, Jeanie Willis, Linda Wise, Glenda, Rhonda, Walter, Kenneth, Anthony, and Calvin Slocum, Shawanda Webber, and the late Pearlie Mae Brisco, and Melvin Slocum. Special niece of the late Pearline Griffin. Godmother of Murthia Slocum and Michele Lewis. Mother in law of Henry Johnson. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Rock Baptist Church, 2300 Rochelle St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00am. Pastor Leonard Franklin Host, Apostle Tristen C. Smith of Faith & Fire Worldwide of Conroe, TX, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30am until service time at the above named church.
