Parrish James Powers, 51, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Monday June 26, 2023
A native of Fayetteville, NC, he had lived in Jackson County for the past 10 years. A Christian by faith, he was a Member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. One thing he was known for was always helping others in his community, whatever he could do to help he would. He was also a US Army Veteran, he loved old military antiques or any kind of antiques was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Powers
He is survived by his family who he dearly loved ;

Allyson Powers
Chase Powers
John Powers all of Sylva
Grandson- Bennett Extine
Mother- Kim Matthews of Fayetteville
also survived by his five siblings and their families
A Celebration of Life for Parrish will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 8, 2023 at Lighthouse Baptist Church
