Richard Lee Tasker, 92, of Mission Viejo, California, passed away on October 13, 2025, at home, with family by his side. Born on April 7, 1933, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Rita (Martin) and Arthur Tasker, he was the youngest of four children. Richard was a proud U.S. Marine veteran serving during the Korean conflict,a devoted law enforcement officer for 35 years, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an avid stamp collector with a special passion for his Japanese collection. Known for his courage, kindness, and unwavering sense of duty, he dedicated his life to serving others, both in uniform and at home. He embraced a ready-made family of five children with love and devotion, becoming a steady and caring presence in their lives. His strength, compassion, and gentle heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife Rosalie of 52 years, beloved children Cheryl, Michael, Terri, Sean, Brian, and Sue "Hatchan", fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. They also wish to express their sincere appreciation to the medical staff at Hoag Hospital in Irvine and Newport Beach, as well as the Hoag Hospice team. A special thank you to his friends at the Saddleback Stamp Club, whose friendship and encouragement helped keep his passion and hobby alive in recent years. A private family memorial will be held in his honor at Riverside National Cemetery on November 4, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
