Robert
You are the grandfather I always wanted and I the daughter you never had. I will miss your sense of humor the most. The way you would say something funny with such a straight face. Only the twinkle in your clear blue eyes would give you away. That humor showed through up until the day you died. I will always remeamber the day before, when you had your hair cut the woman asked you how you wanted it cut and you told her you would like it braided. After she was done you were handed the miror to inspect her work and you turned to her with a straight face and asked her were the braids were.
I will always carry a piece of you in my heart and look forward to the day we will see each other again.
Until that day I will pray that you have found Bonnie again and the two of you are seeing all the places you long to see again but couldn't
I will always love you
Your Lindeta

I remember Robert from my days living in Cos Cob when I was in Greenwich High School from 1979 to 1981. Robert loved his garden and I worked for him landscaping his beautiful property on Cat Rock Road, working on weekends. He was always kind and generous and I learned a lot about gardening from him. While our lives intersected just a few years, I always remember him fondly. Strangely, I just happened to 'Google' him on Oct 20th, which is how I found out he had passed away...
