I'm not quite sure how or why I ended up on this page today, but what I can say is that I am truly shocked and saddened to hear of Stephen's passing in 2010. Steve's family and my family grew up as next door neighbors for over 40 years. Steve and I went to elementary school for 8 of those years together. I will always remember Steve as being one of the smartest, if not, the smartest, kid in each of our classes. He was also witty, driven, musically gifted, and loved by his parents and older brothers. Whenever he would sing and play his guitar in his house, I would quietly step outside into my backyard so that I could listen and enjoy it. It comes as no surprise to me that Steve used each of his many talents to become such an accomplished man in both his work life and personal life. Even though we both eventually left the neighborhood and went our separate ways, it was always nice when we would run into each other and catch up when we made a trip back home to see our moms. My sincerest condolences to Steve's wife, Peter, Vinny, Frank, and to the rest of Steve's friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless you Steve.

Steve was funny, passionate, and bright, as well as a great friend and band-mate. His spirit and intensity were on full-display when you looked into his eyes. Eleven years later, there is still a void.

I am in shock at this terribly sad news to hear of Steve's passing almost 8 years ago. We met when I was 15 and Steve was 18, my first love. I woke up this morning thinking about his mother Lucy whose birthday was today March 4th. I decided to try and look up Steve to reach out and share a memory of his mom as I still have one of her pasta dishes. Finding this page my heart is aching. Though these condolences come years later I am sure there is not a day goes by that he is not missed by his wife, family, friends and colleagues. My sincerest sympathy to All of you. I am happy at least to hear he had such a good life: a loving marriage, dog, career and was still playing in a band! He was blessed with all his joys! Rather than 'Rest in peace' , in my mind i see Steve in heaven, with his big boyish smile and enthusiasm, playing an acoustic duet gig with Harry Chapin. Steve will always be 'a light that shines' in my heart. I was blessed to be apart of his life and will keep him in prayer. My most sincere and loving condolences to all who miss him.

I knew Steve back when we both attended NYU. I have been looking for him for the past 2 yrs in the hopes that we could reunite to play guitar again. We were in 2 bands together: BQE, and The Affair. We played alot of gigs together and even won 2nd place in Battle of the Bands at SUNY Stony Brook. It broke my heart to see his obituary. He was a tremendous guitarist and an all-round great guy. My condolences to his wife and the rest of his family.

I'm a Microsoft Consultant. I met Steve while attending MSSU with him last March. He and I worked together on several teams during our weeks there. I remember having conversations with him about our shared passion of guitars and music. I also remember that he always had in mind to return to his hotel room and talk to his wife via video conference. His family was on his mind and in his words.

To this day I still use one of his phrases: "Keep it chimp simple!" I always liked that.

My condolences to his family.

I'm stunned and deeply saddened by the news of Steve's death. We worked together many years ago in NY. I was going through my divorce at the time and Steve always found a way to make me laugh, think about the things that were important, and things to look forward to. What speaks more about Steve is the fact that he was like that with everyone. Always there for you with a smile and a laugh. I'm grateful for having met Steve and my deepest condolences to his wife and family.

My deepest sympathy is extended to all Steve's family and friends. This is such a tragic loss. Steve made many valuable contributions to EOP in working with the Microsoft team to lead us through a transformation of technology that is so essential to the White House and other EOP component operations. Steve remained positive, diligent and confident in resolving numeous highly visible, technically complex issues. His support and frienship will always be appreciated.

On behalf of all of us who have had the pleasure of working with Steve here at the Executive Office of the President, I wanted to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences.
