"Our thoughts are with the Harkins family. Steve was a very talented and very smart person. He meant a great deal to me earlier in his life. I have so many fond memories of Steve. He will be missed by his family and friends. "

My sincere condolences to the Harkins family. Dr. Harkins' unique personality and approach to teaching influenced me immensely. May your memories comfort you all as you adjust to this tremedous loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Harkin's passing. He was my first professor in the Gerontology Department and was passionate about his work and older adults. He will be missed!
