Virginia Adcock Obituary

ADCOCK, Virginia Zenayde, 81, of Weems, Va., died at home on September 13, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Adcock; a daughter, Carolyn Ann Adcock; and a son, Charles Rothwell Adcock and his wife, Betsy; a grandson, William Hutton Adcock; two stepgranddaughters, Rachel Ludwig and Jane Ludwig; a sister, Cynthia Repplier; and a brother, George Brown. She was a volunteer at the Lancaster Community Library for 27 years and was employed as interim director of the library on three occasions. She served for several years as an election official in Kilmarnock. During her service with the Red Cross she was responsible for the canteen at each Blood Drive. While in the Rappahannock River Yacht Club for 31 years she served twice on the Board of Directors. A private service is planned. Contributions may be made to the Lancaster Community Library, P.O. Box 850, Kilmarnock, Va. 22482 or to Hospice of Virginia, P.O. Box 2098, Tappahannock, Va. 22560.
