WILLIAM KARL BARTELS

BARTELS, William Karl, 80, of Highland Springs, Virginia, widower of Lois Ellis Bartels, passed away September 10, 2010 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Louise E. Bartels, and his sister, Joyce B. Mack. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Anderson and her husband, Michael, of Sandston; and his sister, Linda B. Moreau and her husband, Eddie, of Catonsville, Maryland. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Grace E. Davis of Highland Springs, Virginia, and Joyce E. Nelson of Pasadena, Maryland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bartels was a member of the Teamsters Union, Chapter 592. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 12, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue. Family and Friends will gather at Nelsen Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 13, for a one hour visitation prior to the graveside service, which will be held at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, Virginia at 1 p.m.
