Ann Campbell

Ann Kennerknecht Campbell, age 104, of Green Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at ForestView Nursing Home. She was born in Erie, on December 21, 1919, a daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Stadler Kennerknecht.
Ann lived most of her life in Green Township and was a lifelong member of St. Boniface R.C. Church, where in later years she was a member of sympathy committee. She was a 1939 graduate of Academy High School. Ann married William L. Campbell, on May 30, 1941, and worked at the Kennerknecht's Grocery Store for many years until its closing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Campbell, who passed away in 1994; her sister, Dolores Heisler; her brothers, Norbert (Helen), Raymond (Helen), and Vincent (Florence) Kennerknecht; and her sons-in-law, Michael DiPenti and Frank Pennock.
Survivors include her daughters, Dian DiPenti, of Russell, Pa, and Gail Pennock, of Erie; her son, William P. Campbell, of Erie; her three grandchildren, Jeff Kania (Jodie), Dr. Eric Pennock (Stephanie), and Valerie Pennock; her five great-grandchildren, Dean, Cole, Tyler, Hannah, and Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504 on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass the following morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church. Burial will follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
