Benselado Ozuna was born to Anastacia and Luciano Ozuna on September 28, 1939, in West, Texas. He passed away on May 11, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ofelia M.Ozuna, his daughter Sandy (Greg) Holcomb, his sons Bobby (Nora) Ozuna, Benselado (Cynthia) Ozuna, Jr., Gary Ozuna, Roland (Kassandra) Ozuna and Rene Ozuna, his sister Lupe Garcia, his brothers, Rafael Ozuna and Luciano Ozuna, Jr., his grandchildren Megan, Amanda, Michael, Kelsey, Benjamin, Kayla, Cameron, Chris, Skyler, Olivia, Alexia, Kelley and Paige, as well as fifteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
Benselado was a loving husband, falling in love with his wife at a dance in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a loving father and grandfather. Benselado was hard working and a great provider for his family. He enjoyed playing and watching golf. He loved to watch football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Fishing at the coast was something he loved to do and made many family trips to Port Aransas. He had a passion for shooting pool and was very successful in the leagues he played in. Another pastime he enjoyed was playing his Lottery scratch off tickets daily. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. His wittiness and sense of humor brought joy and a smile to everyone. He is much beloved and will be dearly missed.
