Beverly Gayle Young

Beverly Gayle Young, age 71, passed from this life on Monday, July 3, 2023. She was born May 22, 1952, in Altus, Oklahoma to Jess Young, Jr. and Mary (Cook) Young. Beverly graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy from the University of Central Oklahoma. She served in the nursing home administration field in Fort Worth, Texas for many years. After leaving that industry, she enjoyed another successful career with The Workforce Commission of Texas.
Beverly attended Christ Chapel Bible Church West Campus and was a member of the Twentieth Century Club of Weatherford. She was very artistic and loved doing crafts. Her creative abilities were outstanding. Beverly made quality jewelry pieces, floral arrangements, door wreaths, home decor items, and much more. Her abilities to decorate a table for a holiday meal made any room dazzle. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved being with her dear friends at the Oakwood Terrace Apartments. Being at their gatherings brought Beverly great joy.
Beverly was a wonderful sister, aunt, and neighbor. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Jess, Jr. and Mary Young; and great nephew Gabriel Young.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Keith Young and wife, Patti of Weatherford, Texas. Nieces, nephews and their families are: Jessica and Patrick Duncan - son, Sean; Jared and Christine Young - children, Caleb, Lauren, Luke, and Quinn; Jacob and Shannon Young - children, Noah, Lillian, and Benjamin; Bonus nephew and family, Garett and Lindy Woods - children, Naomi and Thaddeus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Twentieth Century Club of Weatherford, PO Box 2377, Weatherford, Texas 76086 or to Parker County Center of Hope, 1318 Clear Lake Road, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 Interstate 20, Willow Park, Texas 76087 on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:30 am.
