Camella Pierce Obituary
Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 2, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 1, 2023, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Burial is to follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
She was a Cafeteria Manager for the Welsh school system and retired in 1995, after having won many awards for her outstanding service. She taught Catechism for many years to the children of Welsh, sharing her faith and love of God and his teachings. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was an avid sports fan & loved Saturdays & Sundays during Football season. She was a Christ loving Woman who enjoyed reading daily scriptures & talking & sharing her Faith. She was happiest being surrounded by her friends and family.
Camella is survived by her son, Darrell Pierce and wife, Cindy of Hathaway, LA and their daughters, Brianne Bertrand (husband, Josh and son, Rylan) of Jennings, LA and Cait Pierce of Los Angeles, CA.; daughter, Donna Pierce Bertrand of Hathaway, LA and her son, Dakota Bertrand (wife Whitney and sons, Nolan and Elliot) of Moss Bluff, LA. ; daughter, Dawn Pierce Hill and sons Casey, Colby and Cayden Hill and daughter Chloe Miller all of Hathaway, LA. ; daughter Andrea Pierce Miller (husband Aleck Miller, and daughters Kaycee and Allee Miller) of Houston, TX.; sister, Shirley English Goodell of Tichnor, AR and brother, Philozie English of DeWitt, AR.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes English and brothers Eugene, Daniel and Robert.
Navigating our new journey without her amazing presence will be difficult.
Fly High Mom/Meme, we love you dearly & will miss you terribly.
