About
Carl Hultine Obituary
Born in Manchester, CT, a son of the late Carl M. and Inga A. (Olson) Hultine, he had lived in Rumford since 1961. Mr. Hultine was the owner of the former J. B. Watson Insurance Agency, Providence for 23 years, retiring in 1978. He was a 1934 graduate of the Loomis School, Windsor, CT and a 1938 graduate of Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT. He was a member of Newman Congregational Church, Rumford. He was an honorary member of the Wannamoisett Country Club, Rumford, which he joined in 1955. Mr. Hultine was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran serving as a radioman in China, Burma and India.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Baeszler of Smithfield; a son, Carl J. “Kip” Hultine of Rumford; a brother, John Hultine of Lake Worth, FL; 2 grandchildren, Karin Baeszler of Providence and John L. Baeszler, III of Smithfield; 2 step grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters. He was the brother of the late Harry Hultine.
The funeral will be held THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12 at 10 A.M. in Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester, CT.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln WEDNESDAY 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Hultine’s memory to Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Avenue, Rumford, RI 02916 or Hospice of Nursing Placement, 334, East Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. A fiendly and familar face downtown providence,a solid insurance agent an aetna special agent i believe and one of the first to embrace the aetna concept of direct bill auto insurance.Keenly interested in his many clients and served them well. Those that knew him respected him and his ways. Now that his physical life is spent the spiritual phase begins, there will be kindred spirits to pass the time with. You will not be far away. I had the pleasure of taking care of Mr. Hultine while I was a RN at Epoch. I enjoyed his sense of humor every night. I express my deepest sympathy to his family and Epoch will never be same.
